AquaBond is a polymer modified, cement-based coating that
has been specially formulated for increased performance
and time-saving application. Its advanced technology also
increases overall reliability, so warranty callbacks are
virtually eliminated. Acting as a scratch coat, AquaBond
delivers a superb link between properly prepared substrates
and new plaster coats.
The AquaBond system saves labor and equipment costs while
virtually eliminating delamination problems. The use of
AquaBond eliminates excessive substrate preparation such
as sand blasting or stripping pools, which may reduce material
usage for the new plaster coat by up to 30 percent. More
importantly, AquaBond helps promote the even hydration or
curing of plaster applications which is especially beneficial
when using an exposed aggregate surface.
AquaBond is sold in units consisting of one five-gallon
pail of liquid resin and two 65 lb. bags of cement admix.
AquaBond can be applied using a heavy nap roller or spray
